Hue Integration
I was tasked with defining requirements and designing our integration strategy with Hue. This was designed on top of the existing lighting control framework.
The room brightness controls were supplemented by a set of palettes. Once created, a color palette can be applied to any room. Savant uses some basic tenets of interior lighting to maintain ambiance from room to room.
Smart Palette creation
Creating color palette can be a tedious and difficult task for those who don't have an eye for it. For this reason, I decided to build some color theory directly into the palette creator. FADE, DUET, and OMBRE are smart palettes. Once you select a base color, we can generate a palette to go with it.
Adding intelligence
In order to create more nuanced lighting schemes, we collect information on each bulb during setup. Base on this information we classify bulbs as primary, secondary and accent lights. This allows us to apply colors logically palette creation.

We also enable users to control individual bulb color. This is done within the single bulb control screen. The bulb color picker includes swatches of recently used colors.
